Now that I have you all singing that song... HA!
Yesterday was my boys' last day of school. I have mixed emotions about this summer. For one thing, I am grateful that I am able to stay at home with them and spend some time figuring out who they really are.. On the other hand though, I haven't the slightest idea of what we will do until August.
If anyone has any ideas, I will definately try them out! Cheap or free is best!! :)
Everything that happens in your life, the good, the bad, and the ugly, can be documented and turned into a lesson for yourself and others. If one were to take all of their stories and write them down, one would have a rich history to pass down for generations to come. I will try to write my way through time, my lifetime. It is hit and miss but I hope that when it is all written, that at least one person can learn from the mistakes I have made. Even if it is just me. Write on!!

Oh if I had the summer off... I would implement chores (if not already), I would have a park day, a pic nic day, I would take long walks, go to 4-h to pet the animals, national parks are supposed to be doing this free weekend thing once a month- go online and see what free summer stuff you can do... Oh I'm so jealous. My calendar would be so FULL! Most days I would have something creative to do- make stuff up- do a scavenger hunt in your back yard for different bugs/rocks (boys love that)... I could go on and on
come over and visit me
and gracie!!!
THATS FREE!!
We splurged on a family membership to the Zoo. It was only $80 for all 5 of us for a whole year. We go to the city park to feed the ducks, ride bikes, go swimming, and here lately we have been inviting other families over to grill and hang out. They usually get about 1/2 the stuff to cook so it doesn't really cost anything extra except for drinks. (We make Kool-aide)
The $80 was a little more than we had to spend on the zoo but we have already gotten our moneys worth out of it. It would cost us about $50 to go once a year. Plus our Zoo lets you bring in a cooler and they have picnic tables.
